You may think hunger is about too many people and too little food. That is not the case. Our rich and bountiful planet produces enough food to feed every person on earth.
Hunger is about power. Its roots lie in inequalities in access to resources. The results are illiteracy, poverty, war, and the in- ability of families to grow or buy food.
The results are illiteracy, poverty, war, and the inability of families to grow or buy food. Few experiences bring to life these inequalities more powerfully than a Hunger Banquet event. Unique and memorable, the Hunger Banquet can help raise awareness, as organizers and participants alike experience first- hand how our decisions affect others in the world. We hope you'll join us for this impactful experience!
