Lavender Launch is the annual commencement celebration to support our LGBTQ and Ally graduates. This ceremony recognizes their leadership, achievement, and contributions to the ECU community. Held in May each year, the event is open to family, friends, and colleagues and features the presentation of the Samantha Hamilton Award for LGBTQA Leadership Excellence (presented to a student or students), as well as the Community Impact Award (presented to a faculty, staff, alumni, or community member), as well as a keynote speaker and the presentation of the graduates. Dinner will follow the ceremony.

The 2024 ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 2 at 5:30 pm in the Black Box Theater in ECU’s Main Campus Student Center (501 E. Tenth Street).
