E.L. Haynes Public Charter School is hosting their Sophomore Career Exploration Day on Thu, 12/14 this year. This day-long experience exposes tenth graders to different career clusters, connects them with community members serving in a wide array of roles within those industries, and gives them insight into what is needed to enter their desired fields. To expand students’ understanding of possible career paths, they are organizing a series of career panels during three different sessions.

Our perspectives would help make for a dynamic panel conversation. There will be a Q&A session with students followed by a career-focused activity co-led by panelists and E.L. Haynes staff members. They will offer lunch between 11:45 a.m. and 12:55 p.m. to give panelists an opportunity to connect with one another.

Moreover, E.L. Haynes is also extending the opportunity for participants to support as a mock interviewer. Students will be rotating through panel sessions and an interview time slot. Depending on the number of volunteers, interviews will either be in small groups or individually. You can indicate your interest to support as a mock interviewer in the Google Form below, and more information will be provided regarding what questions mock interviewers should be prepared to ask students.

When you sign-up here on HoyaConnect, you will be taken to a Google Form after to fill-in further details. If you were not redirected, complete the Google Form here.

Reach out to us if you have any questions.
