Are you interested in immersive language learning while studying abroad? Come learn more about the Boren Awards, which pays up to $30,000 for students to go on long-term, language-based study abroad programs focused on one of dozens of critical languages.

Funded by the U.S. Department of Defense, the Boren is open to undergraduate and graduate students from any major. A long-term interest in working for the federal government is not required, but such students are encouraged to apply.

At the Nov. 2 information session, hosted by the Office of Global and National Fellowships, Boren advisors will go over the program details, including eligibility criteria and application tips, as well as answer student questions.

Boren is a prestigious, nationally competitive award that Mizzou students are selected for every year.
