Join us for an exclusive event with CSUMB's 2023 Common Read author Jaime Cortez. This year's book, Gordo, is a selection of short stories and is set in a migrant workers camp near Watsonville, California in the 1970s. The book is a work of fiction, but is based or cobbled together by real events experienced by the author. The campus community is invited to read the book by checking it out from the library and attend in person for a Q and A followed by a book signing. Reminder: Bring your own book copy to have it signed by the author!
