Payment Schedule
First Payment: October 18 – November 1 = $250
Second Payment: November 7-December 10 = $650
Final Payment: December 17 – February 4 = $650

All payments are non-refundable. If the Bentley in the Bahamas trip is unable to happen due to the ongoing risk of the COVID-19 pandemic either locally or in the Bahamas, student trip participants will receive a refund. If, however, the University is moving forward with the trip informed by current public health and safety guidelines, and an individual decides they no longer are able to attend or feel comfortable attending, our refund restrictions will stay in place.

Financial Assistance and Payment Plans: We understand that this trip is a significant financial investment and one that might be a challenge for many students and/or families. We deeply value this trip feeling accessible to those seniors who are interested. We do have payment plan options available and welcome outreach from any student worried about the financial obligation.

Housing and Roommates: Rooms at the Atlantis are triple occupancy which can be either same or mixed gender. Double occupancy rooms are available at an additional cost of $250. To request a double occupancy room, please email GA_Bahamas@bentley.eduby the November 1 registration deadline. Housing in the Trees is double occupancy. Trip participants will have the opportunity to indicate their roommate preferences for the Atlantis and the Trees during the spring semester.

Passports and Travel Documents: All trip participants must have valid travel documents to travel to the Bahamas. International students should contact the Center for International Students and Scholars (GA_CISS@bentley.edu) to ensure that the necessary travel documents are obtained. US citizens will need a valid US Passport.

Trip Eligibility: All Bentley undergraduate students who are in their fourth year and will be graduating in May 2022 are eligible to purchase a trip package. Students graduating earlier or later than originally intended can request approval to attend the trip by submitting the Senior Eligibility and Participation Form. The committee will review all requests in accordance with our eligibility policy and notify students of their status. If approved, participants not enrolled as a Bentley student at the time of the trip, due to graduating early, will be required to sign the trip waiver and pay a refundable deposit as terms of participation. It is important to note that a Bentley student can participate in the trip one time only.

All trip participants must have valid travel documents to travel to the Bahamas and will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with no exceptions.

COVID-19 Information: We recognize that there are still many unknowns with the COVID-19 pandemic at local and international levels, but we are moving forward optimistically and with health and safety as continued priorities in our planning. In compliance with Bentley University and due to current travel restrictions in the Bahamas, all participants in the Bentley in the Bahamas trip will be required to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 with no exceptions. We are committed to providing a safe travel experience for students. Bentley in the Bahamas plans will be subject to change in accordance with local and international COVID-19 protocols and restrictions.

Please Note: For any students wishing to attend the trip, but experiencing potential obstacles (i.e. financial, family, etc.), please contact us before the first payment is due to talk through the particular situation to see if we are able to accommodate.

Bahamas Fundraiser 2023 - Ranfurly Home for Children

For many years, the community service trip to the Ranfurly Home for Children has become a beloved staple during the Bentley in the Bahamas trip. The Ranfurly Home for Children is an organization that has aided thousands of children since 1956. The home provides a safe and structured environment for academic and personal growth for children who have been orphaned, abused, neglected, or abandoned. To learn more about the Ranfurly Home for Children, visit https://ranfurlyhome.org/.

Since the start of the pandemic, we have not yet returned to to hosting this traditional community service event. In previous years, Bentley students would take an afternoon to visit the Ranfurly Home for Children and provide volunteer work aimed to improve the conditions of the facility. Students often had the opportunity to connect with the children living at the home and spend time reading to them, playing sports, or finding other ways to be a part of their community. Past seniors have said the experience was "nothing but life changing" and "amazing to see the impact only a few hours can make on these kids". Bentley has had a longstanding relationship with the Ranfurly Home for Children in Nassau.

In place of this year's volunteer trip, instead we will be holding a fundraiser to raise money for this incredible organization. Seniors attending the trip will be able to purchase an exclusive Bentley in the Bahamas Class of 2023 shirt or tank top. Money raised from sales will be presented to the Ranfurly Home for Children during our trip to the Bahamas in May. The total cost of each shirt ($15) will be donated directly to the organization.

Students will be able to pick up their shirt at the Bahamas mandatory meeting or by visiting the Business Center on the third floor of the Student Center. Must show a valid form of photo ID to confirm the purchase. Students can request alternate pickup arrangements by emailing GA_SPE@bentley.edu.

Unfortunately this year, in hopes to minimize covid exposure to both Bentley seniors and the children living at Ranfurly, we will not be hosting our traditional community service event. In previous years, Bentley students would take an afternoon to visit the Ranfurly Home for Children and provide volunteer work aimed to improve the conditions of the facility. Past seniors have said the experience was "nothing but life changing" and "amazing to see the impact only a few hours can make on these kids". Bentley has had a longstanding relationship with the Ranfurly Home for Children in Nassau and we are so disappointed that we are unable to return this year.

In place of this year's volunteer trip, instead we will be holding a fundraiser to raise money for this incredible organization. Seniors attending the trip will be able to purchase an exclusive Bentley in the Bahamas Class of 2022 tank top. Money raised from sales will be presented to the Ranfurly Home for Children during our trip to the Bahamas in May. The total cost of each tank top ($15) will be donated directly to the organization.

Sales will be open only to current Bentley in the Bahamas trip participants for the first 24 hours of sales. At noon on May 10th, sales will open to anyone who wants to purchase a tank top, including anyone who would like to make any additional purchases.

Students will be able to pick up their tank top on May 12 or 13 by visiting the Business Center on the third floor of the Student Center. Must show a valid form of photo ID to confirm the purchase. Students can request alternate pickup arrangements by emailing GA_SPE@bentley.edu.
