If you are interested in hiking and camping in the outdoors, there are a variety of skills you need to learn to run a good trip. This course will cover things like how to plan a hike, what equipment you should bring, how to navigate with a map and compass, how to set up a tent or tarp for sleeping, water purification, outdoor cooking and more. The Leave No Trace portion of the course focuses on building your ethic of sustainability in the outdoors to ensure that the wilderness we all love is protected.

Completion of this course satisfies the OA Leader Training Technical Skills requirement.
