April 6th marks a very important day, one that showcases Asexuality and people from the LGBTQIA+ community that identify as Asexual.
There are so many misconceptions regarding this category on the rainbow spectrum, partly because Asexuality in itself has a wide array of sub-categories and people living very different lives.
We believe it's paramount to bring a number of Ace individuals from the UBalt community and let them tell us in their own words, what Asexuality means to them, what they feel should be addressed regarding stereotypes and labels, and of course, their own personal stories.
If you're a part of the community, or, if you've always wanted to be an ally and learn, or if you know someone who is Ace and you want to know how to better support and celebrate them, come and enjoy the panel!
Our moderator will be the fabulous Christa Gloster, an Equity, Diversity, & Inclusion Program Specialist from the University of MD.
The panelists:
Kara Kauffman - UBalt's international student specialist, who also happens to be a student in our MFA program for creative writing.
Jaden Beall - UBalt's financial analyst working in the A&F Office of Shared Services, who also happens to be a really dapper dresser.
Becky Dawson - UBalt's certified math and statistics tutor, as well as a gifted manager, currently working on her MA in industrial psychology.
Venus Newberg - In addition to being a trained barista and childcare worker, they also volunteer for GLSEN National and Maryland Chapter organization as a Professional Development Coordinator.

Come enjoy some sweet treats, coffee/tea, and riveting conversation.
We hope to see you there!
Food Provided (Desserts, coffee/decaf, and tea!)
