Please join us for a training for students, "Understanding Implicit Bias", facilitated by Mark Bell, the Director of Diversity Initiatives in the University of Baltimore School of Law. This event is open to all students, including undergraduate, graduate, and law students. During the session, participants will have the opportunity to explore how implicit biases are created, the real-world consequences they bring, and ways to recognize and defeat our biases. Food will be served, including pizza, salad, and refreshments.

Everyone has implicit biases, which are hidden presumptions and prejudices that operate on the subconscious level. These implicit biases can be related to race, gender, disability, religion, country of origin, etc.; these biases impact how we respond to and interact with individuals we perceive as "different."

This event is sponsored by the Office of Diversity and International Services and the Office of Diversity Initiatives of the School of Law. We hope you can join us for an honest and insightful discussion.
