Join us for NMU's annual gathering & day of service Showcasing the work & legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.


Legacy March: 12pm in front of the Forest Roberts Theatre

Join us as we remember the legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr with a march in his honor. We will begin in front of the Forest Roberts Theatre and end at The Lodge.


Keynote Speaker & Program: 12:30pm in The Lodge

A brief program with speakers from NMU faculty and staff will start off the afternoon. Keynote speaker, Darnishia Slade of Michigan Tech's Pavlis Honors College will speak on the excellence and resilience exhibited by black students attending rural universities, especially in the Upper Peninsula.


Lunch & Service Projects: 1pm in The Lodge

A lunch of pizza and snacks will be served. Participate in service projects such as making fleece blankets for the Women's Center, crafting valentines for veterns, and more!
