As a kick off event to Fall in Love with Harpur College week, our Dean, Dr. Celia Klin will introduce and welcome our alumna, Ifeoluwa Shoola to speak with us about the power of studying the liberal arts in her life and how it can be as transformative for you. When Ife was a student she studied Integrative Neuroscience and Africana Studies and she engaged in some life-changing experiences that brought her to the life she leads today. In her career she is a Manager and Facilitator for the Partnership for Public Service. The Partnership for Public Service is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization based in Washington, D.C. whose mission is to inspire a new generation of civil servants and to transform the way government works. Ife leads a full life outside of work as well. In service to her Nigerian roots, Ife's passion for developing emerging leaders led her to partner with Children that Change the World (CTCTW) to design and deliver an innovation challenge for high school students in the Ogbomoso community, spotlighting the creative wealth of young Nigerians. She also serves as a board member of SprinNG, an organization building a community of young Nigerians in writing and literature, and has worked to expand its reach and impact. Attendees can expect to connect with Ife via zoom and engage in a Q&A after her talk.
