Whereas the first session focused on the past, this session will focus on the present and future. What is the situation in Gaza today? Will Israel be able to achieve its aim of removing Hamas from power? How are the U.S., the U.N., and the Palestinians themselves navigating the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza? What will the “day after” look like in Gaza? Is a two-state solution between Israelis and Palestinians still possible? If not, what are the other options to end the conflict and/or achieve a real peace? And what role will the U.S. and Arab states play in negotiations? This session will address these questions through presentations by Professor Krause and discussion with participants.
