Carolyn works at the intersection of conservation, innovation, and markets. At Upstream Tech, she uses technology to accelerate the pace and scale of investments in land conservation, farms, fresh water, and forests.
Upstream Tech leverages satellite data and machine learning to enable its partners—conservation organizations, government agencies, and companies—to plan for high-impact environmental investments and monitor existing conservation projects on land and water.
Carolyn holds a dual MBA/MPA from MIT Sloan and the Harvard Kennedy School. At MIT Sloan, she earned Sloan Social Impact Fellowships and a Sustainability Certificate. As co-president of the Sloan chapter of Net Impact, Carolyn was instrumental in launching the now vibrant impact investing community at the school. She also served as director of finance and fundraising for the MIT Sustainability Summit "Coastal Cities, Sustainable Futures".
