New York Cyber 9/12 Strategy Challenge

The Digital and Cyber Group at Columbia University will host its 7th New York Cyber Strategy Challenge on November 4-5th, 2022. This year, the event will be held in-person. We hope to see you there.

Important: A maximum of 28 teams will be selected on a rolling basis to participate in the competition. Each team member must either show proof of COVID-19 vaccination OR provide a negative test taken no earlier than 3 days before the start of the competition.

Organizers will accept more than 3 teams from schools until the 28 team cap is hit. Any additional teams from a school (i.e. 4th team and onwards) will be decided heavily favoring their submission time

In the event that more than 28 teams register for the competition, organizers reserve the right to evaluate individual teams based on:

1) Teams' submitted application, including their response to open questions around cyber issues;
2) A desire to maintain a strong competition by promoting diverse backgrounds, professional experiences, and educational institutions;
3) The number of teams participating from an individual school and institution;
4) Teams competing from a single school are capped at three.
5) Teams composed from different schools do not fall into this restriction. For example: Only three SIPA teams will be allowed, but cross-institute teams (e.g. SIPA-SEAS or SIPA-NYU) will still be allowed to compete.
