Introverts at business school? There are more of us than we think! Some of us mask our introversion through “faking it ‘till we make it,” others take a back seat and simply don’t get heard. Even those of us who had figured out great strategies to make introversion a strength can struggle with managing our energy.

In this interactive workshop, led by Professor Susan Snyder, participants will delve into the rich world of introversion. We will briefly visit research-based insights and identify the introverts’ gifts, and then engage in exploring strategies for managing energy and bringing a more grounded, impactful presence to your interactions.

In this workshop you will:
  • • Recognize your introvert strengths and challenges
  • • Understand the psychology behind introversion & extroversion
  • • Learn how to use your strengths to support you in being present and speaking up
  • • Practice tools and techniques for staying grounded in both planned and spontaneous speaking
Berkeley Haas lecturer Susan Snyder’s background in counseling psychology, disaster preparedness, and improvisational performance informs her approaches to leadership education. At Haas she teaches Improvisational Leadership (UGBA, EWMBA), The Art of Coaching Conversations (MBA), and Coaching & the Art of Feedback (UGBA).

Registration is REQUIRED and is capped at 24
