Staff Council Member Nomination Form

Eligibility Requirements:
•Be a full-time staff member of UNG for a minimum of six (6) months
•Non-faculty University employees
•Does not have an active disciplinary documentation letter and is in good-standing with University of North Georgia.

Staff Council Member terms are for three fiscal years. Previous Staff Council members must wait a minimum of one fiscal year before serving on Staff Council for another term.

For a bit more context, the following is the mission of UNG Staff Council:

The Staff Council supports and facilitates the mission of the University of North Georgia, a leadership institution of the University System of Georgia. The Council will act as an advisory body to the University President and will act on behalf of the Staff of the University as a voice to the University regarding policy decisions that affect staff. Representatives of the Staff Council will be included in the committees for strategic planning and budget processes to support the success of the academic mission of the University.

As we approach the summer, we also approach the time to nominate yourself or fellow staff members to serve on Staff Council next year (for a three year term). There are some great opportunities on Staff Council, including:

Fostering community engagement both within and outside the institution
