Anyone wishing to operate a UAS or model aircraft on UNG property or at a UNG-sponsored event is required to obtain approval from University Compliance prior to operation by submitting a UAS/Drone Flight Approval Form at least 14 days in advance of the requested flight date.
You must seek authorization from the FAA and receive approval prior to completing this form. The FAA Approval must be uploaded as an attachment to the UNG UAS/Drone Flight Approval Form.
UNG Police may request proof of authorization, FAA guidelines and limitations, and the pilot license during flight operations. It is important to note that law enforcement has the legal authorization to ground a UAS operating for violating the FAA agreement or for unsafe operation.
