UNG students will share their archival research on the Choice Street Historic Baptist Church near the
Dahlonega Square and its enduring connection with the University of North Georgia. Learn about the
beautifully preserved architecture and decoration linking the two institutions, about Col. William P.
Price’s role in constructing the building, and about the historic North Georgia College cadet traditions
and rituals once practiced there.

This event is in celebration of the cultural heritage of the University of North Georgia and will also
include historic photographs and texts as part of a museum-style display. The project was funded by a
2023-2024 Presidential Initiative Incentive Award.

Archival research projects by Stephanie McBride and Reagan Smith. Information display by Emily Bowen.
