Join the Kellogg Entrepreneurship and Venture Capital Club for a moderated discussion with Allison Myers, General Partner at Buoyant Ventures, and Judy Li, Vice President at Energy Foundry. Together, we will discuss investing in early stage climatetech, clean energy, and industry sustainability. These two women bring their own unique wealth of experiences and are excited to share their perspectives on a rapidly changing landscape.

Topics of discussion include: their journey through the industry, top trends in climatetech, how investing in early stage plays a critical role in a path to decarbonization, measuring and meeting net impact goals, and much more!

Allison Myers is a Co-Founder and General Partner of Buoyant Ventures, an early-stage venture fund focused on digital solutions for climate. Buoyant looks for scalable, climate-positive, technology-driven solutions that support adaptation to and mitigation of climate change using data, sensors, and innovative business models.

Allison spent almost a decade developing transformational strategies for large corporations, focusing on partnering with start-ups and leveraging digital technologies to drive speed and scale. She was a leader within her practice driving thought leadership and talent development.

Prior to Accenture Strategy, Allison was at the University of Michigan for her MBA and was an Associate on the Michigan Social Venture Fund (SVF). She now acts as an advisor to both SVF and Michigan Climate Fund. Allison started her career at a healthcare start-up, acquired by Walgreens.

Allison is based in Denver and spends her free time enjoying the outdoors in every season.

Judy Li manages deal flow and drives investment opportunities from first introduction through due diligence to final close. She also cultivates relationships with other investors and innovation partners in the cleantech startup ecosystem. Judy enjoys supporting Energy Foundry's portfolio and working with entrepreneurs to help grow their businesses.

She first joined Energy Foundry as a Platform Associate, with experience in energy efficiency, sustainable urban development, environmental policy, ecosystem sciences, and community organizing. Her responsibilities included building Energy Foundry's data management system, seeking strategic partnerships, growing brand presence, and managing a platform of resources for portfolio companies.

Before joining Energy Foundry, Judy worked at Verde Sustainable Solutions L3C, a Chicago-based energy efficiency startup. While her work there focused on sales, she was part of day-to-day startup discussions and has great respect for entrepreneurship.

Before she moved to Chicago, Judy was a Princeton in Asia Fellow with the Natural Resources Defense Council China Program in Beijing, China. While there, she researched and implemented programs in sustainable urban development around transportation, land use, and energy.

Judy received her Bachelor of Science cum laude from University of California, Berkeley, with a double major in Environmental Science and Environmental Economics & Policy, and a minor in Energy Resources. She loves scuba diving and cycling.
