The Community Cultural Wealth 101 training is designed for Students, staff, & faculty to explore the nature of social capital, and how it reflects social inequalities and existing hierarchies. The traditional concept of "cultural capital" posits that to succeed, we must adopt the behaviors and values of those who are at the top of the hierarchy. In this training, participants will learn about the concept of Community Cultural Wealth, a theoretical approach rooted in critical race theory that emphasizes the strengths already available to communities of color, and how it applies to higher education. FACULTY/STAFF ONLY.
