Attend a performance through the HopArt program, free of cost, thanks to the Parent's Fund. RSVP to be entered into the ticket lottery. Participants will be confirmed 5-7 days before each event. Students will attend with faculty or staff chaperones, enjoy a meal out, and transportation is provided to and from JHU. Available to undergraduates only.

The sensitive and charismatic young Spaniard Pablo Ferrández brings out all the passion and earthy folk music embedded within Dvořák's Cello Concerto, a crown jewel of the solo repertoire. Kwamé Ryan conducts with the broad perspective of a true world citizen, from his Trinidadian and Canadian roots to his extensive training and experience in the United Kingdom and Europe. He turns his keen gaze to Become Ocean, a once-in-a-generation masterpiece of swelling waves and rapturous immersion that earned John Luther Adams a Pulitzer Prize and Grammy┬« Award.

Departure for this program will be at 2pm for Meyerhoff Symphony Hall, with optional dinner after the concert. Registration to enter the lottery ends Jan. 27 at noon.

Proof of COVID vaccination and masking may be required at the venue.
