The Sleep Challenge is a week-long online challenge that will help you discover more about your relationship with sleep while also learning tips and tricks for improving your sleep straight from peer-reviewed research. To start, you will take the pre-survey and then 3 core modules that will give you a base knowledge of sleep, guiding the rest of your journey through the challenge:

Monday: Bedtime Routine
Tuesday: Sleep Debt
Wednesday: Memory and Learning

After Wednesday, you get to choose your own journey by picking one module a day for the rest of the week. You will choose 4 more modules on your own from 15 different module topics, such as Electronics, Sex and Close Relationships, Bedtime Routines, and Dreaming.

Remember, the pre-survey opens on Sunday, January 23!

Additionally, the Department of Health and Wellness is conducting research with the UCSB Sleep Challenge. Our goal is ultimately to determine the effectiveness of our online sleep education program. Students will be given the option to indicate whether they would like to opt in or out of participating in the research in the pre-survey. ALL students, whether they would like to opt in to participate in the research or not, can still participate in the challenge and be eligible for one of twenty $30 Amazon Gift Card in our randomly selected giveaway, if they meet the criteria of: completing the pre-survey, completing 7 modules INCLUDING our 3 core modules (Bedtime Routines, Sleep Debt, Memory and Learning), and the post-survey
