The 5th Yale Symposium on Chinese Overseas Investment is taking place on Saturday, April 15th. This year's topic is metal mining in developing countries. The event will feature panels and discussions on the environmental and social impacts of Chinese investments in the mining industry, especially with minerals such as lithium, cobalt, and iron, in the context of the global transition towards renewable energy sources. Come learn about the US-China competition on rare earth metals, latest legal, technological, and policy innovations to promote sustainable investment practices and compliance with regulations in both China and investee countries.

Most of our speakers will be attending in person! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will be provided!
