Senior Stories: Annelise Ratner and Ryan Zhou

Join us for our AACC Senior Stories series! We'll get to know each other in a more intimate setting, cherish the diversity of experiences in our community, and of course, celebrate our seniors.

Annelise and Ryan's senior stories will take place on Friday, November 11th from 5-6 pm both in-person at the AACC (first floor) and on Zoom (https://yale.zoom.us/j/96544812063). There'll be yummy Asian snacks :)

Ryan and Annelise! Come share a laugh and hear about our experiences at Yale!

Ryan Zhou ('22.5) has been at Yale for what feels like far too long. Much of his beloved first-year suite has graduated or moved on, but he still considers himself the luckiest first-year there's ever been. He's loved the pain of working on the YSO Halloween Show for three years, and he's hated the pain of working a part-time job at the CCAM. He loves filmmaking and lives for Tuesday's half-off deal at the Bowtie, but when he isn't doing either you can probably catch him malding at some 15 year olds on Valorant.

Annelise Ratner ('23) has also been at Yale for what feels like far too long, but she is very grateful for what this community has offered her —— from a close-knit group of filmmaking friends to the most chaotic CaD team the AACC has ever known to the opportunities to research and create artistic work interrogating her relationship to Cambodia and its diaspora . But one of her more surprising discoveries while at Yale — Annelise has uncovered an alter ego named Vamoosh who only emerges in the most desperate moments of sleepless delirium and chooses to wreak havoc on all those around instead of just going to sleep.
