Although much of modern pedagogical theory promotes non-traditional methods of presenting material, lecturing remains a widespread and often useful mode of teaching. In this ATW, we consider situations in which lecturing can be appropriate and workshop strategies for planning lectures, time management, inclusive lecturing, and developing presence in the classroom. We welcome teaching fellows and instructors at all levels of experience, as a broad range of backgrounds will help to facilitate a rich conversation. For more information, please contact Matthew Ellis (matthew.ellis@yale.edu) or Cat Slowik (catherine.slowik@yale.edu).
