Autogenic Relaxation: A self-generated relaxation technique which aims to promote calm and balance in the body and nervous system to help reduce feelings of stress and tension. This technique originated with the work of Dr. Oskar Vogt in Germany in the 1890's and was later finalized by Dr. Johannes Schultz in the early 1900's. The technique utilizes visualization, auto-suggestion, and passive concentration. Join Danielle Casioppo, MS, Education Specialist, Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice leader and certified yoga teacher with Being Well at Yale for this rejuvenating 30 minute session. Beginners welcome! No meditation experience required. No special equipment needed.
