This workshop explores theory and strategy for incorporating multiple forms of media—which may include videos, images, sound, or even objects from collections around Yale—in your teaching in order to achieve your learning goals and promote student engagement. This workshop begins with a discussion of research on the inclusion of varied forms of media in multiple instructional formats: assignments, lecture, and section. Participants will then work collaboratively to develop best practices for smoothly integrating diverse forms of media with their personal teaching styles. For more information, contact Chris Forney (christopher.forney@yale.edu) or Gavi Levy Haskell (gavi.levyhaskell@yale.edu). This ATW counts towards the Poorvu Center's Certificate of College Teaching Preparation (CCTP) requirement for a topic engaging technology.

This event will be held on Zoom.
