Vet Success on Campus Counselor (VSOC)
  • The VSOC program operates under the VA’s education and career counseling program, or Chapter 36, authority
  • Chapter 36 benefits offer a wide range of educational and vocational counseling services to Servicemembers, Veterans, and dependents who are eligible for one of the VA’s educational benefit programs 
  • These services are designed to provide personalized counseling, educational and career counseling, and support to help guide career paths and achieve educational and career goals

Washington DC VA Medical Center
  • A Whole Health Coach at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. She is a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) and works with Veterans to improve health outcomes through behavior change. She is passionate about Whole Health and empowering Veterans to tap into their strengths to achieve their desired goals.
Stacey Hailey- Veteran Care Coordinator
  • A licensed clinical social who has been employed with the Washington, DC VAMC for over 15 years Washington, DC VAMC LGBTQ+. As VCCs, some of our roles include the following:
    • Point persons, sources of information, and advocates for LGBTQ+ Veterans navigating healthcare services at the VA. While we don’t serve in a clinical capacity, we serve as a point person to essentially support veterans in connecting with LGBTQ+ services available throughout the VA and community.
    • Community Outreach
    • Training of VA staff in LGBTQ+ affirming healthcare best practices
    • Support implementation of national policies related to LGBTQ
Mark Ingutti, Vet Center Outreach Specialist
  • The Vet Center provides free and confidential mental health counseling for those who suffer from military-related mental health trauma

General Caregiver Support Coordinator
Program of General Caregiver Support Services
  • The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Caregiver Support Program (CSP) offers clinical services to caregivers of eligible and covered Veterans enrolled in the VA healthcare system. The program’s mission is to promote the health and well-being of family caregivers who care for our Nation’s Veterans, through education, resources, support, and services. There is a CSP Team located at every VA facility. CSP carries out its mission through two programs: The Program of Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC) and The Program of General Caregiver Support Services (PGCSS). Mobile Vet Van @ Merten Hall Parking Lot
  • The Mobile Vet Centers are equipped as an “office on wheels” to provide readjustment counseling, information, and resources. With confidential counseling space and a state-of-the-art communication package, we travel throughout, extending our reach to rural areas for Veterans, servicemembers, and their families.
