The Women and Gender Studies Center invites students, faculty, and staff interested in applying intersectional theory to their work to join us in our intersectionality module! Throughout this course, you and other colleagues will learn about what intersectionality is, and how it can be applied in various areas of social justice work. This course is designed as a basic introductory module for all levels of familiarity.

After finishing the course, you'll be able to:

-Understand that intersectionality encompasses individual identities as well as systemic issues and how they affect the experiences of people in higher education.
-Explain what intersectionality is and why it's important for us as members of a university community.
-Apply the concept of intersectionality into the work we are already doing in our own lives.
-Reflect on how intersectionality can be used to assess peoples' own privileges and marginalized identities.
