The Women and Gender Studies Center invites students, faculty, and staff interested in applying intersectional theory to their work to join us in our intersectionality module! Throughout this course, you and other colleagues will learn about what intersectionality is, and how it can be applied in various areas of social justice work.

After finishing the course, you'll be able to:

-Understand that intersectionality encompasses individual identities as well as systemic issues and how they affect college students' experiences.-Understand why intersectionality as theory needs to be used in our support of students.
-Apply the concept of intersectionality into the work we already doing for our students.
-Reflect on how intersectionality can be used to assess faculty, staff, and students' own privileges and marginalized identities in their work with students.
