Dr. Falguni Sheth, Emory University, to give a public lecture on the dynamic of dismissal at the heart of the liberal political and neoliberal economic enterprise. Dr. Sheth is a leading figure in contemporary critical race theory, gender studies, and critical legal studies.

Dr. Sheth is an internationally recognized leader in feminist studies of race. By illuminating how the legacies of war, violence, and colonialism are transformed via law, public policies, and cultural institutions, to appear neutral, just, and liberal-democratic, her work reveals the mechanisms by which legal and cultural institutions maintain a veneer of security on behalf of their dominant populations.
