T.J. has been one of the most influential voices in college student leadership in the last 30 years. He has spoken to more than 3-million students in all 50 states. T.J. knows that leading a college student organization can feel thankless, exhausting, and infuriating, at times. He gives student leaders practical ideas about how to move their organizations forward while keeping their sanity and maintaining their commitment. It’s difficult to leave an hour with T.J. and not have at least one new idea about how to lead your organization in a smarter way. We think you’ll find T.J. to be pretty funny, too. His book, “Motivating the Middle: Fighting Apathy in College Student Organizations,” is a best seller and used by more than 100 college and university leadership classes coast to coast. It’s the kind of book you’ll buy two copies of – one to keep for yourself, and one to give to the next person elected to your position.

T.J. has built several successful companies. He lives in Denver, Colorado, where he runs a chamber of commerce, a bowling league, and spends way too much time posting pictures of his chihuahuas, Jelly and Pickle, on Instagram.
