Provost Scholar Program Tutor Application
The Provost Scholars Program is a partnership between Case Western Reserve University (CWRU), the East Cleveland City Schools, Ginn Academy and Cleveland School of the Arts (CMSD). The program matches Scholars in grades 8-12 with Case faculty and staff mentors to improve the Scholars’ academic and career outcomes. The Scholars are also paired with a tutor (that's where you come in!) who they meet with every Thursday afternoon from 2:30 - 3:50 PM in Guilford House.
We are also working with a virtual platform goschoolbox.com (formerly Tutorfly) to offer opportunities to work with Scholars outside of regular programming time. We realize that there are times that you will be unable to attend due to illness or exams/course requirements. If you would like to share tutoring responsibilities with a colleague, please indicate that below. Unforeseen circumstances that occur are also understood. If this is a commitment you would be interested in making for the 2024-2025 academic year, your help would be greatly appreciated! Please simply fill out this form, and we will be in touch with you very soon!
If you have worked with a scholar or scholars in the past, please kindly inform me of their name(s), but it's totally okay if you don't remember or if you were unable to be paired with a student regularly last year.
I will provide additional materials such as our calendar of events and handbook upon confirming your commitment for the upcoming year. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns.
With gratitude,
