Site Information:  AdvantageCLE provides tennis and learning opportunities to children in urban areas. Volunteers are needed to work with groups of youth in grades 1-5 after school at Mary B. Martin School in the Hough neighborhood.

Service Information: Volunteers will focus on literacy intervention, wellness, homework help, and hands-on activities. While helpful, volunteers do not need prior tutoring experience.

Time Commitment: This site requires a weekly commitment for one semester and takes place on Wednesdays from 2:30 to 5:15 pm, which includes transportation time. Transportation is provided in the CCEL van by a CCEL Student Leader. Registered students will serve on the following 10 Wednesdays: 2/7, 2/14, 2/21, 2/28, 3/6, 3/20, 4/3, 4/10, 4/17, 4/24

Pre-Service Requirement
: a fingerprinting background check is required to volunteer at this site. Once you register, you will receive more information on how to complete the background check on campus at no cost to you. Results must be received before you can start service. You will also be required to complete a Safe Play Certification, which may take up to one hour.
