Site Information: Lunch Buddies is a mentorship program that provides volunteers with the opportunity to work with 3rd through 5th grade students at Bolton Elementary School located in the Fairfax Neighborhood.

Service Information: Volunteers meet with youth at the school during their lunch and recess time to play games, converse, and participate in other recreational and educational activities. Volunteers provide support, friendship, and positive role modeling to the students. While helpful, volunteers do not need to have prior experience working with youth.

Time commitment: This site requires a weekly commitment for one semester and takes place on Thursdays from 12:30 to 1:45 pm, which includes transportation time. Transportation is provided in the CCEL van by a CCEL Student Leader. Registered students will serve on the following 12 Thursdays: 1/25 (orientation), 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 2/29, 3/7, 3/21, 4/4, 4/11, 4/18, and 4/25.

Pre-Service Requirement: a background check is required to volunteer at this site. Once you register, you will receive more information on how to complete the background check at no cost to you. Results must be received before you can start service.

Accessibility: CCEL is committed to providing all students with opportunities to take full advantage of our programs. Our staff recognizes that students with documented disabilities may require reasonable accommodations in order to achieve this objective.
