This event is open to Post-Docs and Graduate Students only.

The goal of the session is to acquaint you with common terminology currently in use in higher education. From the flipped classroom, to inquiry-based learning, to inclusive teaching, to active learning, to metacognition, to formative and summative assessment, to student evaluations of teaching (SET), and more, we plan to work through a glossary of 'buzzwords' with you. These can be used to inform your teaching practice as well as your teaching statements (commonly required in academic job applications). This will be an interactive session, so please come ready to join a discussion! (Note: if there are any specific terms that you would really like to be discussed, please send me an email at jennifer.hadingham@case.edu.)

At this session, we will also ask you to complete a quick survey about what topics we will engage with at subsequent Future Faculty Fridays, which will take the format of a journal club,
