UCITE First Fridays: October 7th

Whether mentoring students, or fellow faculty members (e.g., peer-to-peer), is a collaborative learning process that invites us to engage in a reciprocal, supportive, and creative partnership with one another. Mentoring relationships are important to support success and satisfaction across an individual's career. Such relationships and mentorship experiences also have the potential to enhance teaching effectiveness, productivity, and satisfaction, among many other benefits. When successfully implemented, strong mentorship programs at the institutional level can establish an inclusive and supportive scholarly community built on trust and transparency.

For this particular First Fridays event, The Office of Faculty Development is proud to announce upcoming programming that showcases the value of mentoring relationships and networks available to the Case Western Reserve University community. Among the topics discussed, we invite you to share your thoughts and experiences regarding effective characteristics for mentoring or qualities of effective mentors that you have engaged with during your career development. Faculty and Graduate Teaching Assistants are invited to participate in UCITE's First Friday event on October 7, from 11:30am-12:30pm in the Herrick Room of the Allen Memorial Medical Library. Join us for an informal conversation over a pizza lunch, as we share ideas among one another to empower our students to learn through effective membership.
