This event is for new spring 2023 Graduate Studies students. Join us for these sessions and events:
You may attend any or all of these sessions:
- 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Check-in, get your ID card/RTA sticker and free t-shirt
- 12:15 - 1:30 PM: Lunch (drop in at any time)
- 12:30 PM: International Student Orientation (international students only)
- 1:30 PM: Welcome from Grad Studies Session (School of Graduate Studies students only)
- 2:00 PM: University Technology Session (all students)
- 2:30 - 3:00 PM: University Technology Technicians are available to assist with your tech needs (all students)
- 2:30 - 3:00 PM: Off-Campus Housing Coordinator, Nikki Vallot, is available to answer questions (all students)
Register to attend this event and let us know your t-shirt size and any food restrictions.
ID Cards and T-Shirts will be given out at the event. Please have a photo-ID ready to show (driver's license, state ID card, passport/visa) in order to pick up your new student ID.

Transportation, Parking, and Directions to Thwing Center:
Parking Garage
The Campus Center Parking Garage (Lot S-29) is the closest garage to the Thwing Center. This garage is underground and the public entrance is located at 11172 East Boulevard, Cleveland, Ohio 44106. Parking Garage Fees: 0 - 30 Minutes (Free) – up to $10 maximum/day.
Thwing Center is accessible from the garage on the first level or second level – follow the signs for the Thwing Center and take the stairs or elevator up to the ground level. When you come out of the parking stairs/elevator structure, the Thwing Center is the red brick building located to your right.
Street Parking
Street parking is also available on a first-come, first-serve basis on both Bellflower Road and East Boulevard. Please see the meter for applicable rates and time restrictions.
CWRU Shuttle
The closest CWRU shuttle stop (Green Link) is on Bellflower Road.
RTA Bus
The closest public bus stop is the Adelbert Road station.
RTA Rail
The closest public rail stop is the Little Italy - University Circle station.
