HackCWRU is Case Western's annual, student-run Hackathon. A hackathon is an event where, over the course of 36 hours, students from all over the globe come together to create new and interesting projects to show off their innovative spirit. These projects are submitted to any number of different project tracks, where you will have the opportunity to win a number of prizes, such as a Creality Ender 3D printer or an Oculus Quest VR headset. Our four primary tracks this year are the FinTech Track, the Health track, the IoT track, and the Maker track, but there are also prizes for, say, the Beginner Hack.

HackCWRU is the biggest engineering event at Case Western Reserve University; as of right now, over 200 people have signed up, with around a quarter of these being Case Western Students. Hackathons are an amazing opportunity to show off your skills to potential employers. For example, this year, HackCWRU is sponsored by Rockwell Automation, a multinational company focused on industrial automation and digital transformation. At the Hackathon, you'll have the opportunity to network with recruiters and mentors from Rockwell. But it's more than just a recruitment opportunity. We'll have workshops, where you can build your skills, and party games, where you can have some fun and get to know your fellow hackers.
