This training is for experienced and current staff and faculty supervisors, those who have been promoted or newly hired into a supervisory role, or those who aspire to supervise in the future.

In the past, the performance review has contained elements to create a collaborative conversation between the supervisor and the employee. These elements included the use of notes from the mid-year progress check-in and identifying primary job objectives that help achieve departmental goals. The updated Performance Review Process and Forms continue to shift the focus of the performance review in the direction of employee development and growth, creating clearer communication between supervisors and employees, and setting clear expectations. This training will walk through this process step by step and the timeline to provide a consistent system for employee performance feedback linking job performance to job expectations.
