Semester Serves volunteers will work with groups of elementary-age youth (1st-6thgrade) at William Rainey Harper, an International Baccalaurate school in Cleveland. The volunteers of the will provide one-on-one homework assistance and academic learning on a web-based system during the "9th hour" of the school day. While helpful, volunteers do not need to have prior experience in providing academic assistance to youth.

The program takes place every Friday from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m., which includes transportation time. This site requires a commitment of one semester. Transportation is provided in the CCEL van by the Semester Serves student leader. The specific dates of the program will be as follows9/24 (required for on-site training), 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/29, 11/5, 11/12, 11/19, and 12/3.

Accessibility: CCEL is committed to providing all students with opportunities to take full advantage of our programs. Our staff recognizes that students with documented disabilities may require reasonable accommodations in order to achieve this objective. If you are interested in taking part in a specific project but have questions related to accommodations and/or the accessibility of a site, please contact the office of Disability Resources (216.368.5230 or disability@case.edu), and they will work with a representative from our office to answer your questions.
