Returning Civic Engagement Scholars Fall 2021 Kick-Off Training Options

Returning Civic Engagement Scholars who have previously participated in the Scholars program are required to complete a Fall Training. This year's training is to attend one of the below ‘Crossroads: Still We Rise’ art exhibit tours. ‘Crossroads: Still We Rise’ uses augmented reality and visual arts to explore “the forgotten or overwritten histories of Cleveland and its effects on race and neighborhoods.” Tour times vary between September 20-24, and early sign up is encouraged as spots are limited per tour. Scholars will assemble on the wooden steps in the food court of the Tinkham Veale University Center at the start times listed below to check in before walking together to The Sculpture Center (about a 0.7 mile walk). You will be at The Sculpture Center for about 1.5 hours, so the timeframe listed below factors in total walking time to/from the site and campus. Time spent participating in this required Fall training cannot be double counted towards civic engagement hours.
Please register as soon as possible for ONE of the below events. If your preferred date is full, please join the waitlist. If you are unable to make any of the below times due to academic conflicts or other concerns or if you are uncomfortable attending, please contact adrian.griffin@case.edu as soon as possible or indicate this on your Scholars enrollment form.
