The Winter Welcome events are a great way for students to meet new people, get involved with CMU’s student organizations, build school spirit, participate in service projects and practice wellness as they start their spring semester.

Murder Mystery Dinner "I Love the 80s to Death" (Winter Welcome)
Dinner, a show, and … a murder?! Bring your top-notch detective skills to this interactive dinner theater performance. Watch the story of a rock concert turned tragic unfold as you question your fellow dinner guests, seek out motives, and piece together the clues to find the killer! No previous sleuthing experience required
Date: Friday, Jan. 26th, 2024
Time: 5:00pm - 7:45pm
Location: CUC Rangos 3
Cost: $5 (tickets required; tickets can be purchased on CarnegieMellonTickets.com)
Select guests may be chosen to play a small role in the performance. Arrive on time at 5pm for appetizers and some mix-and-mingling before the show begins. Costumes and themed dress encouraged! Dress in your best 1980s attire - Band Tees, Blazers, and Neon Everything!

Winter Warm-Up! S'mores & Cocoa with SLICE (Winter Welcome)
**IMPORTANT: Due to chilly weather, the outdoor S'mores-making portion of this event will be postponed to next Wednesday, January 24th in Merson Courtyard. We will still have Hot Cocoa available in Wean Commons on January 17th to warm you up!
Enjoy some toasty treats with the Office of Student Leadership, Involvement, and Civic Engagement! Snap a photo with your s'more and the Scotty statue and tag SLICE on instagram (@sliceatcmu) and you might be picked to win some sweet CMU swag!
