As our final event for AAPI month, we'd love to close with a celebration. Bollywood, classical, and traditional dance have been important to many South Asians Americans as the art form connects us to our roots and culture. We invite you to learn an exciting dance from Rohit Gijare, get a Friday workout in, and celebrate your friends and peers that identify as AAPI. We will follow the dance class with a Q&A with Rohit to learn more about what dance means to him and how it helps him feel connected to his roots.

Rohit Gijare is a professional choreographer and dancer. With over twenty years of experience in the field, Rohit has performed for a variety of international platforms. Rohit combines his classical background training with his traditional Indian folk-dance experience while adding influences from modern western techniques to produce a unique style of choreography all his own.

As a Director of Choreography, Rohit's work in "Bollywood Boulevard" debuted at the prestigious Lincoln Center and has gone on to tour nationally across the United States.

As a content creator, Rohit's videos have gone viral and he has amassed a large following on both YouTube & Instagram. His latest #husbandandwife series has captured the hearts of millions worldwide.

Rohit continues to train, dance, teach and create new work in New York City. You can follow his journey on social media @rohitgijare.
