Hey everyone! The MWG has got one of the most exciting talks of the semester planned for you. We want to break the usual narrative about migration and focus on how gender identities impact the migration experience. The MWG invites you to a conversation on how varying gender identities have played a role in defining the migrant experience in Southeast Asia. So many of us at SIPA are international students or children of migrants. This would be a chance for all of us to learn, listen and engage with gender and migration experts and rethink our own experiences and that of our families. Come join us for a conversation to shape the narrative around gendered migration focussing on one of the most culturally diverse regions of the world.

The talk is helmed by:

Speaker: Ms. Anjali Fluery, USAID
Anjali Fleury is a migration and gender specialist with over ten years of experience in policy advocacy, research, program management, and direct service provision. She has worked at International Organization for Migration (IOM), UN Women, the World Bank Global Knowledge Partnership on Migration and Development (KNOMAD), Overseas Development Institute, and United Nations University, among others. Anjali holds a Master in Public Policy degree from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
Moderator: Professor Eugenia Mcgill, Director EPD
