The Henry J. Leir Institute, the Latin American Studies Department, Tufts University Art Galleries, the Visual and Material Studies Department (SMFA), the Department of Studies in Race, Colonialism, and Diaspora, Tufts' International Relations Studies, the Department of Sociology, and Fletcher Latin America Group (FLAG) cordially invite you to a presentation by Tomas Ayuso. Tomas is a Honduran photojournalist who focuses on Latin American conflict. He has won a series of awards including James Foley Award for Conflict Reporting (2019), World Press Association 6x6 Emerging Global Talent (2019), Latin America National Geographic Portfolio Winner (2018), and MSNBC Foot Soldier (2015).

This event brings together the academic aspect of the mass displacement of Hondurans, the emotional touch of the individual stories, and the added insights that don't neatly fit into articles or features. This event is also part of Global Tufts Month.
