RIT Spring Music Festival

Come join the RIT Performing Arts department on Sunday, May 2nd for a full day of celebrating music at RIT at the Polisseni Arena. Five different performances will take place during the day and individual pre-registration is required in order to attend a particular performance:

12:00 - 1:00pm: RIT African Drumming Ensemble (directed by Kerfala Bangoura) and the Monday and Tuesday evening RIT Jazz Ensembles (directed by Karl Stabnau).

2:00 - 3:00pm: RIT Steelband (directed by Ted Canning) and the RIT Contemporary Ensembles (directed by Dr. Sungmin Shin)

4:00 - 5:00pm: RIT Concert Band and Brass Quintet (directed by Dean Davis)

6:00 - 7:00pm: RIT Orchestra (directed by Dr. Yunn-Shan Ma) and the Red Brick String Quartet

8:00 - 9:00pm: RIT Wednesday Evening and Tuesday/Thursday Jazz Ensembles (directed by Herb Smith)

You must RSVP ahead of time in order to attend - walkups will not be allowed without prior registration and audience attendance will be limited to 100. You must present a valid form of ID upon arrival that matches the name on the registration (registration is non-transferrable).

Audience entrance to The Polisseni Center is through Gate 1 beginning 20 minutes prior to the scheduled performance time.

The RIT Spring Music Festival will follow all NYS and RIT COVID guidelines for performing arts events such as maximum audience size, physical distancing requirements, and cleaning protocols between performances.
