Allied escape artist prisoners of war are put in an "escape-proof" German camp, designed to keep all the
"rotten eggs in one basket". Their leader decides to try to take out several hundred all at once and, in
doing so, divert Nazi forces from the rest of the war. Intrigue, danger, suspense, and a touch of comedy
blend in this epic portrayal of the planning, tunneling, and escape attempts that really did play a part in
