Join us on June 16 at 12 p.m. EST via Zoom as part of the Case Western Reserve University Entrepreneurship Series for a Roundtable Discussion with Bassem Mansour  & Steven Rosen, Co-CEOs of Resilience Capital Partners. They will discuss how they co-founded their private equity firm.

Mansour and Rosen founded Resilience Capital Partners, a Cleveland-based private equity firm that invests in niche-oriented manufacturing and business service companies, in 2001. They both received their MBAs from the Weatherhead School of Management at CWRU.

Steve is involved with all aspects of the firm’s operations including developing and maintaining relationships with investors and investment intermediaries, and the firm’s strategic planning efforts. Prior to co-founding Resilience Capital Partners in 2001, Steve executed transactions in several basic industries at Merrill Lynch & Company.

An alumnus of the University of Maryland, Steve also received an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve. Continuing education has also included Harvard Executive Business School Programs and Witts University Business School in South Africa. He is a member of many professional organizations, including the Ohio Chapter of the Turnaround Management Association and the Cleveland chapter of the Young Presidents Organization. Steve also serves on the boards of directors of several companies including the Park-Ohio Holdings Corp. and Hickok Inc.

Active in civic and community life, Steve founded The Pathways to Resilience Vocational Program with the Boys and Girls Club. Steve also has served as the chairman of the Cleveland Jewish Community PresenTense Fellowship Steering Committee and in a leadership capacity with the Cleveland Clinic Heart Center and University Hospitals Cancer Center and the Milken Institute. He has been involved in public affairs, assisting Ohio legislators with developing the concept of a state-administered small business working capital loan program.

Steve also is an occasional commentator on the private equity industry and its investing strategies and practices, having appeared in such media outlets as Fox Business News, Buyouts and The Deal and on Bloomberg Television’s Money Moves and CNBC’s Power Lunch. (http://resiliencecapital.com)

In 2001, Bassem and Steve Rosen co-founded Resilience Capital Partners. He is involved in all aspects of the firm’s operations, including investment decisions, portfolio company oversight, and investor relations.

Since 1994, he has been involved in principal investing, leveraged buyouts, Chapter 11 reorganizations, out-of-court restructurings, and other mergers and acquisitions. Prior to founding Resilience, he was an investment banker with McDonald Investments.

He is a member of the Cleveland Chapter of Young Presidents Organization as well as several professional organizations, and is a frequent speaker on private equity and distressed investing.

Bassem serves on the board of directors for numerous Resilience portfolio companies. In addition, he serves on the boards of the Hathaway Brown School, the Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland, and the Visiting Committee of the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University. He is a former Trustee of the Western Reserve Land Conservancy.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Weatherhead School of Management at Case Western Reserve University and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Dayton. (http://resiliencecapital.com)
