DIBS' Birthday Bake Off

All current students, faculty, and staff are eligible to enter our virtual bake-off competition in celebration of Blue Demon Week and DIBS’ birthday! Show off your creative baking skills through cakes, cupcakes, and mug cakes. From Monday through Wednesday, we are accepting submissions!  Winners will be featured in the DIBS Birthday Celebration!

How to Enter

• Participants must create a cake, cupcake, or mug cake with their own interpretation of DePaul School Spirit.

• Participants are only allowed to submit one creation (pictures must be clear and visible)

• Participants may work individually or with a team (Prizes will be awarded to 1 member/team only, NOT each individual)

• Submit a single picture of your creation to the following email:

ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE SENT BEFORE WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 10,  AT 12 PM CST

How Winners are Selected

There are two categories for the Blue Demon Week virtual Bake-off: The People’s Choice (on insta:@dab_depaul) and the Judges Choice  (Committee/ OSI)

For the People’s Choice:

• Participants’ creations will be posted anonymously on the @dab_depaul Instagram for polling on Thursday( February 11).

• People will be allowed to vote on the instagram story for their favorite creation.

• The creations with the most votes will be awarded …

For the Judges Choice:

• Participants’ creations will be judged anonymously by a panel of students, faculty, and staff on their favorite creation.

• The creation with the majority vote will be declared the winner for this category
   

Judging Criteria 

• Submissions will be judged on appearance

• Implementation of any DePaul spirit

• Photo should be clear and easy to view (1 photo for submission only)

Winners and Prizes:

The winners chosen based on Judges' Choice and People's Choice will receive a surprise cooking kit.
